Parenting for Faith have lots of great resources for parents. Through videos, articles and Facebook events they provide practical, easy to use tools to help parents nurture faith in their children.
One of the key tools they use is "Chat and Catch". A way of explaining to children how our prayer life with Jesus is a two way conversation; we chat to Him and "catch" or listen from Him. There are lots of videos and suggestions on their website to bring praying to God into our everyday lives. It's not always about having a once-a-day prayer time but also bringing God into every part of our day: the walk to school, the bath, over dinner, and also bedtimes etc. There are suggestions for all ages from under 5s to teens and helpful tips on when it's hard.
Another key tool from Parenting for Faith is seeing God in the big and small parts of life, and looking at it through what God teaches us in the Bible. There are helpful suggestions on how to "frame" everything through God's Word.
Choosing a bible that your child really likes can be a helpful way to encourage them to engage with what God is saying in it.
